Bond themed party raises £100,000 for Magen David Adom
160 people attended the Langham hotel on Thursday 21st June for the Magen David Adom, Bond themed, summer party. Hosted and organised by the Pulse committee, the evening raised over £100,000 that has gone towards the purchase of an armoured ambulance in Israel.
As part of the Bond theme, guests tried their luck on casino tables and at the shooting gallery. 007 characters meandered around the hall and Bond movies played continuously on large plasma screens. During the evening Yoni Yagodovsky, the Director of the International Department for Magen David Adom spoke about the current importance of the armoured ambulances in protecting the Magen David Adom medics as well as the sick and injured in Sderot.
Patricia Abram co-Chair of the Pulse committee commented, ‘We are absolutely delighted with the success of the evening. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the Bond theme that was continued throughout the night. We raised a tremendous amount of money to help Magen David Adom to save more lives in Israel.’
