Magen David Adom is to lend its support to India after Mumbai was victim to one of the worst terrorist attacks on Indian soil.
It was announced today that Israel's only emergency medical service was preparing to send a group of paramedics and other rescue personnel to Mumbai in India to assist in efforts to locate those who are still missing following the terrorist attacks late last night and early this morning. The group will work in conjunction with the International Red Cross and the Foreign Ministry.
The paramedics will be sent to Mumbai to tour the hospitals and identify and take pictures of Israelis as well as help with stocks of medications. They will also help to deal with relatives and necessary paperwork.
